Catalina's Milky Way Dreams
(c) Re- Written 2024 - By The Depressed Poet, Doc Dalton
Shooting Stars and fast moving CarsRumble through the roads of my mindTick-e-ty Tock, the old sounds of the clockSay's it's almost a quarter past nine
The moons surely rising, the stars are a glidingAnd Mr. Sandman is ready to roamHurry off to bed and put your pillow under your headHe might just be visiting you tonight at homeDrifting off to sleep is such a wonderful featAdventures you'll enjoy on your ownMaking new friends on a journey to no endA secrete life that is yours all aloneDon't be afraid of those gobble lee goo'sOr those pirates drifting to sea on their boatsThere's no need to worry there just in your dreamsLike rainbow clouds and cotton candy floatsOh that sky's full of colors of make believe wondersExciting every step of the wayCan't you let me stay for just a little bit longerPlease, don't take my Dreams a wayTo see this through a child's eyesOn the path to where stars brightly beamThrough a different world of twist and twirlsWon't you come to my Milky Way DreamsWe could have so much funUnder an ice cream sun and laugh our time awaySing some M & M songs the whole day longUntil we awake to brand new day
Pluto say's hey kiddo don't get out of bedAs Snakel Puss laughs and says, ah it's OKKKKKKKKPopeye yell's, were gone in a minute after I eat me spinachPoo say's all aboard my Banana Split SleighOh that Sky's full of colors of make believe wondersExciting every step of the wayCan't you let me stay for just a little bit longerWorry not Catalina, we won't take your Dreams a way
To see this through a child's eyesOn the path to where stars brightly beamThrough a different world of twist and twirlsWon't you come to my Milky Way Dreams
Catalina say's, please come join me, on my Milky Way Dreams

About this story. This comes from a speech I did years back when I belonged to an organization for public speaking. It was done as a gag and I was asked to share it. Hope you enjoy and get a laugh.

Ladies and gentlemen… distinguished guests… and those of you who are sitting very cautiously right now- Tonight, I stand before you to discuss one of life's most mysterious… most powerful… and most underappreciated forces of nature: When two farts… collide.

Now, we've all been there. You're in an elevator… a small one. You're thinking, "No one will notice." You release it quietly-like a ninja in the night. But then…
ding! The doors open… and in walks someone else…Someone brave… someone bold… someone who says, "You know what? I too shall contribute to the atmosphere." And suddenly… it happens. A moment so powerful… so catastrophic… that scientists should study it. The Collision. Now, one fart alone? That's just a solo act. A gentle breeze. A whisper from the soul. But TWO farts? That's not a breeze… that's a weather system. We're talking about a Category 5 Toot-nado. You can almost hear the announcer: "Breaking news-two independent gas fronts have merged over the lower region, creating a storm of unprecedented intensity. Residents are advised to evacuate immediately… or at least blame someone else."

And the reactions-oh, the reactions! You've got the
Denier: "Wasn't me." The Scientist: "Interesting… notes of sulfur with a hint of regret." And then the Panicker: "OPEN A WINDOW! CALL SOMEONE! THIS IS NOT A DRILL!" But the real magic… the real beauty…is in the confusion. Because when two farts collide…no one knows who did what. It becomes a mystery greater than any detective novel. Finger-pointing begins. Eyes narrow. Trust… is shattered. Friendships are tested. Marriages? Hanging by a thread. Was that YOU?" "No, it was YOU!" "Well, it wasn't me before YOU got here!" And somewhere… deep down…everyone knows the truth: It was a team effort.

And maybe… just maybe… that's the lesson we take from all this.

That in life… sometimes we create things…that we don't fully understand… that we can't fully control…and that we absolutely refuse to take responsibility for. But when two forces come together…unexpectedly… explosively…They create something bigger than themselves. Something unforgettable. Something that lingers…long after the moment has passed.

So next time you find yourself in that elevator…or that quiet room…or that family gathering where things suddenly take a turn- Just remember: You are not alone. Because somewhere out there…another brave soul is ready……to collide.

Thank you… and please…exit in an orderly fashion... and hold your breath if you're wise.
